                                                         The Syllabus  

Unit-1   

 Roots of Equation:  Bisection Method, False Position Method, Newton's Raphson Method, Rate of Convergence of Newton's Method.

Unit-2  

Interpolation and Extrapolation: Finite Differences, The Operator E, Newton's Forward method. Backward Differences, Newton's dividend difference formula, Language's interpolation for unequal intervals, Gauss's interpolation formulae,Starling formula, Bessel's Formula, Everett Formula.  

Unit-3  

Numerical differentiation Numerical Integration: Introduction, direct methods, Maxima and minima of a tabulated function, General, Quadratic formula, Trapezoidal rule, Simpson's One time rule, Simpson's three-eight rule.

Unit-4    

Solution of Linear equation: Gauss's Elimination method and Gauss's Siedel iterative method.

Unit-5    

Solution of difference equations: Euler's method, picard's method, Fourth- order, Ragla kutta method.
