 File organisation definition:- A file is a collection of record which store in proper area with unique name. It is necessary to access. These record using either the primary or secondary key. The access requirements determine in the file organisation be use for a given set of record. It maintains logical data in the proper data structures use in file organisation.

File Attributes:-  Name, Address, data, time, size, position.

File types:- . exe, .c, /.ccp

                              . JPEG . /. Gif

                              .BAT, .DAT, . HTML

File operation :-  create, delete, update, modify, save, save and select, insert, sorting, searching etc.

File protection:-  virus, un- authorized user , hardware / software failware.
